A Quick Trip to Portland, OR

Papa Haydn desserts
Sorry to disappoint, but I’m not here to share eye candy from Katherine’s latest pastry extravaganza. Though, she did make the BEST chocolate pie I’ve EVER had last week! These are just a few of the tasty and beautiful treats I encountered on my last visit to Portland. Banana cream pie and chocolate truffle cake from Papa Haydn are to. die. for.

Following my trip to Altitude Summit, I took a small detour to Portland, OR to spend some time with my twin sister, brother-in-law, and niece, Kate. Every few months, I head to the Northwest for a much needed twinster vacation and return to Austin gushing about the beautiful flowers, parks, and goods I find, so I thought I’d share a few of my favorite spots to shop and eat in my home away from home.

After countless trips to Alberta Street, I can’t believe I’ve never stumbled upon Billy Goat Vintage. Filled with carefully selected vintage clothes, I believe I discovered a treasure chest here.

My fantasy wardrobe for Portland consists of wool coats in a rainbow of colors and plush fur stoles. I walked away with a floor length, magenta, velvet coat for $45!

If only I were a size 2!

Shop owner Deni Buss is as stylish as her shop and a real hit with Kate, my shopping buddy. Check out the Billy Goat Vintage website for more.

Shangri-La. PedX.
Warning: Enter at your own risk! Across the street from Billy Goat’s, PedX Shoes is heaven for you shoe fanatics. Every visit to Portland requires a stop at PedX, and it’s rare that I walk out without a new pair. Check out the PedX website for Portland chic outfits and more information about the store.
