1. Functional or Decorative:

Functional Drapery Panels will open and close to completely cover your window.
Decorative Drapery Panels will frame the window but will not open or close. Once they're set in place, they're there to stay and look pretty.

2.5. If choosing Ripplefold draperies, please select a fullness: We can do 80%, 100%, or 120% fullness. Increased fullness means tighter ripples and possibly additional fabric.

3. Fabric Selection:

Customer's Own Material (COM): If you have your fabric selected already, please send us the Manufacturer, Pattern Name, Color, and Pattern Repeat.

No fabric selected yet? No problem! We will put in a placeholder of a standard 54" wide solid fabric retailing at $100/yard until a fabric is selected.

4. Lining:

  • Sheer - No lining added to fabric to retain transparent/translucent quality of the fabric.
  • Light Filtering - Standard lining option that allows some light to pass through fabric. Available in White or Ivory.
  • Blackout - Upgrade lining option that blocks light from passing through fabric. Available in White or Ivory.
    **Light bleed is still possible around the windows based on drapery design. Please discuss options with us if you desire a complete blackout scenario.
  • Contrast - Lining can be fun too! We can use a different type of fabric or a colored lining. One of Spruce's design tricks is using a charcoal or black lining for a more subtle look on the exterior. Pricing depends on final selection.

5. Hardware Selection:

Hardware is just as customizable as the draperies - but let's start with some basics!

Track Hardware:

  • Track hardware is the best option for functioning drapery panels with the heavy-duty ball-bearing carriers.
  • Ripplefold drapery must use track hardware.

Rod With Rings:

  • Rods with Rings are great for decorative hardware but pose some limitations for functioning panels.

 

Both options are available in standard Brushed Brass, Brushed Silver, or Matte Black.
Decorative finials and specialty finishes available for an upcharge. Spruce also has access to dozens of hardware manufacturers!

6. Dimensions

*Spruce requires a formal measure by a drapery specialist before finalizing pricing and ordering. 
However, if you can provide some general dimensions (round to the nearest inch), we can provide a more accurate estimate.

7. Project Timeline:

Spruce's typical lead time for production is 6-8 weeks from receipt of the fabric. We try our best to accommodate deadlines, however because what we do is handmade there may be variations in lead-times.
*Please note, November/December is our busiest season. If you're looking to Spruce up your space before the holidays, we suggest ordering no later than October 1st.
