We hope you all had a wonderful holiday break! We were busy bees right until the end finishing up everyone’s projects for their out of town guests and family. After a long weekend, we were right back to work and buzzing about our plans for 2011.
2010 was a great year for Spruce. We added some wonderful people to the staff, launched a new website, restored a VW bus, made a TV pilot, and upholstered a record-breaking number of customers’ projects.

Just for fun, we added up some of our projects from the past year to see just how busy we’ve been. Here’s what we found. In 2010, we upholstered 71 arm chairs, 191 dining chairs, 30 sofas, 38 ottomans/benches, and 24 headboards.
That doesn’t include the hundreds of throw pillows and cushions we made and all of the commercial projects we did off-site. In appreciation of all of the hard work the Sprucettes did, we had a little party at my house to celebrate.
As for 2011, we have some great projects in the works. We have decided to produce a series of instructional videos with the help of our wonderful TV pilot producer, Chris Hatcher. We’re currently in the planning stages for these, but stay tuned. They should be released later this year.
And as for Spruce TV, we’ve signed with a fantastic production company out of California, Kinetic Content. They’ve already hit the ground running in 2011 and will be busy in the coming months trying to find a good home for the show.
We’re back to our regular blogging, so come back for more Sprucette Stories and get ready for our weekly video blog where you’ll see behind the scenes and get some great upholstery tips from the Sprucettes.
