I think there are times when an “inspiration detox” is necessary. Clearing your head of all the ideas swirling around in there can be beneficial for figuring out what it is you really like. Memorial Day weekend was a good time for me to stop scurrying about wondering what the next project I am going to do in my house will be, or find that perfect fabric for my vanity chair. Took the long weekend to soak up some sun, mow my lawn, and detox from design overload. After this refreshing weekend I came across a new collection from Robert Allen and immediately made a phone call to get my hands on some samples! Robert Allen has collaborated with hospitality designer Kirk Nix to create a contract collection promoting modern graphic textiles in fresh, clear colors. The L.A. based designer and principal at KNA Designs has designed spaces all over the globe (Tokyo!), take a look at their site to see his work. With Kirk’s collection, Robert Allen recently won “Best in Show” in Textile Design! Check out the video below to meet the man behind the collection.
I am a sucker for jewel tones, which is what immediately caught my attention. Check out some of my favorite designs from the group!

The samples are on their way to Spruce so come on over to the shop to take a look. In other exciting news, the new Jonathan Adler store opened in Austin! I went this weekend and drooled over all the goodies. Here are a few snaps from the shop, I personally love the mottos all over the walls. Who doesn’t love “Your home should be like a good dose of Zoloft”?!?
